Product Details

The Hayden Automotive 242 Thermostatic Sandwich Oil Filter Adapter is designed to fit between your engine's oil filter and block, enabling the installation of an aftermarket engine oil cooler for enhanced thermal management. This thermostatic adapter features temperature-activated oil routing that begins directing oil to the cooler at 160°F and fully diverts all oil flow to the cooler at 180°F, protecting your engine during cold starts while maximizing cooling efficiency under load.

Key Features:

  • Thermostatic valve automatically regulates oil flow based on temperature
  • Sandwich-style design installs between oil filter and engine block
  • Heavy-duty aluminum construction for durability and reliable performance
  • Allows cold oil to bypass cooler during warm-up for proper lubrication
  • Includes mounting hardware and NPT threaded ports for cooler line connections

Hayden Automotive offers engine and transmission cooling products that meet or exceed original equipment standards, helping to improve fuel efficiency, horsepower, and extend engine life. This adapter is ideal for high-performance applications, towing, racing, or any situation where additional engine oil cooling is beneficial.
