Product Details

The EBC Redstuff DP31671C is a low dust ceramic disc brake pad set (brake pads) designed for fast street use and repeated heavy braking. It uses a synthetic fiber based brake compound enhanced with ceramic particles.

Key Features:

  • Low dust: EBC describes Redstuff as reducing dust by 60-90 percent, and the pad contains no steel fibre particles, so the minimal dust that does appear washes off easily with a sponge.
  • Strong cold braking: Brakes well right from cold, as good as original pads or better, and keeps improving as the pad heats up.
  • Improved over earlier Redstuff: EBC states this ceramic compound lasts longer, brakes better and is quieter than the earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff compound.
  • Brake-In surface coating: Conditions the rotor surface and speeds up pad bed-in.
  • Friction: Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5.
  • Stopping performance: EBC reports that the compound stopped a passenger car 13 metres shorter than OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph).
  • Less dust than semi-metallic pads: Emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads.

Bed-in note: This is a hard wearing pad, and bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad takes up the shape of the disc (brake rotor). Patience is needed during this period.

Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation.

I am extremely satisfied with Autoplicity in terms of service, price, and shipping. I was shopping for a set of N-FAB step bars for my truck and was ready to purchase from Amazon when I decided to look around to see if there were better prices. I stumbled upon Autoplicity and was surprised to see their price on the bars. I checked with their online chat customer service to confirm that they would fit my truck and that the price was for a pair of the bars and not just one. (That's how low the price was!). I then placed my order and the bars arrived at my doorstep 3 days later! Autoplicity gets an A+ in my book and I'll definitely be coming back.
