EBC DP31637C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Disc Brake Pad Set

The EBC Redstuff DP31637C is a low dust ceramic brake pad set built for fast street use. EBC describes Redstuff as a pad that reduces brake dust by 60-90 percent compared with other pads. The small amount of dust that remains contains no steel fibre particles and can be removed with a simple sponge wash.

Key Features:

• Synthetic fiber based brake compound enhanced with ceramic particles
• Strong braking from cold that improves as the pad heats up
• Designed to last longer, brake better and run quieter than EBC's earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff compound
• Suited to repeated heavy braking on fast road driving
• EBC Brake-In surface coating conditions the rotor surface and speeds up pad bed-in
• Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5
• Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation

Bed-in note: This is a hard wearing pad, and bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad takes up the shape of the disc (brake rotor). Patience during this period is needed to get the best performance.

EBC reports that Redstuff emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads and has stopped a passenger car, sedan, sport compact or hot hatch 13 metres quicker than OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph).
