The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy CL34-238-4 is a complete camshaft and lifter kit engineered specifically for Ford 429 and 460 cubic inch big block engines. This hydraulic flat tappet camshaft delivers excellent mid-range torque and horsepower gains, making it ideal for street performance applications, towing, and RV use.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 270°/276° intake/exhaust
  • Duration at .050": 218°/224° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .477"/.480" intake/exhaust (with 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 112°
  • RPM Range: 1,400-5,400 RPM

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Xtreme Energy hydraulic flat tappet camshaft
  • 16 hydraulic flat tappet lifters
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in

This cam profile provides a noticeable performance improvement over stock while maintaining good vacuum for power brakes and automatic transmissions. The Xtreme Energy lobe design offers improved throttle response and power delivery throughout the RPM range. Recommended for engines with aftermarket intake manifolds, headers, and 9.0:1 to 10.5:1 compression ratios.
