The COMP Cams CL51-221-4 Xtreme Energy camshaft and lifter kit is engineered specifically for Pontiac V8 engines from 265 to 455 cubic inches. This complete kit delivers a significant performance upgrade with a 212/218 duration split designed to enhance mid-range torque and horsepower across the RPM range.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 268°/280° intake/exhaust
  • Duration @ .050": 212°/218° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .447"/.465" intake/exhaust (with 1.5 rocker ratio)

The Xtreme Energy series features COMP Cams' advanced lobe design technology that maximizes area under the lift curve for improved throttle response and power delivery. Ideal for street/strip applications, muscle car restorations, and performance street builds with stock to mildly modified compression ratios (9.0:1 to 10.0:1). Compatible with factory or aftermarket cylinder heads and requires matching valve springs for proper operation.
