Product Details

The Airtex 5D1020A is a direct-fit replacement distributor cap designed to restore reliable ignition performance. Airtex Automotive Division is a trusted OEM-quality supplier of fuel and ignition system components, and this distributor cap is engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.

The distributor cap plays a critical role in the ignition system by directing high-voltage current from the ignition coil to each spark plug in the correct firing order. A worn or cracked cap can cause misfires, hard starting, rough idling, and reduced fuel economy — making timely replacement essential to engine health.

Key Features:

  • OEM-quality construction for reliable, long-lasting ignition performance
  • Precision-molded from high-dielectric-strength thermoplastic to resist cracking and carbon tracking
  • Brass terminals for superior electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance
  • Direct-fit replacement — no modifications required for installation
  • Meets or exceeds original equipment specifications
  • Manufactured by Airtex Automotive Division, a trusted name in ignition and fuel system parts

Replacing the distributor cap as part of routine ignition tune-up maintenance — along with the rotor, spark plugs, and plug wires — helps ensure consistent engine performance and dependable starting. The Airtex 5D1020A is a straightforward, cost-effective solution for restoring proper ignition system function.

Best price in the market and great customer service, plus free shipping.

It was okay. Shipping was expensive w/o discount.

Order was recieved and shipped very fast! Best price online by at least $50, even with shipping.

GREAT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH AND THE BEST PRICES I HAVE FOUND.

FIRST TIME BUYER - WE'LL SEE HOW IT ALL GOES

yes happy after a good customer serice helped with a price adjustment to my order. they did have good prices on most things, but it took some work to find the lowest price, so you do need to be a smart shopper.

I was a little concerned at first. They advertise same-day order processing, and they said my part was in stock. However, my order took three business days (plus the weekend) to finally ship. As long as the right part arrives, I'll be happy. The price was $100 less than everywhere else, so that can't be beat.

Satisfied with selection of parts. Pricing seems reasonable.

great price but the shipping a bit high

good prices not so good shipping rate
