Product Details

The Airtex 4V1002 is a precision-engineered distributor vacuum advance unit designed to optimize ignition timing in carbureted engines. This component automatically advances the ignition timing based on engine load and throttle position, improving fuel efficiency, engine performance, and reducing emissions.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for worn or failed original equipment vacuum advance units
  • Precision-calibrated diaphragm and spring mechanism for accurate timing control
  • Durable metal housing construction for long-lasting reliability
  • Includes vacuum port connection for manifold vacuum source
  • Helps restore proper ignition timing advance characteristics

The vacuum advance works by using engine vacuum to rotate the breaker plate inside the distributor, advancing the ignition timing during light throttle and cruising conditions. This Airtex replacement unit is manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring proper fit and function for restored ignition performance.

This was my first purchase from Autoplicity, I bought a HyperTech tuner for my truck, they had absolutely the lowest price of anywhere I looked by far. Only thing I could fault them on is that it took 3 days for the product to ship, a little bit long I feel for something that was in stock, but Ill overlook it since it was such a great price.

Great

I think having the type of car that the parts match would be alittle more helpful.
