Product Details

The ACDelco 24225509 is a GM Original Equipment Automatic Transmission Oil Pump Pressure Relief Valve designed as a direct factory replacement for GM vehicles. This valve is housed within the transmission oil pump and serves a critical role in regulating hydraulic pressure throughout the automatic transmission, preventing over-pressurization that can lead to seal failure, clutch pack damage, or transmission fluid leaks.

Key Features:

  • GM Original Equipment part — manufactured to the same specifications as the factory-installed component
  • Designed to maintain proper hydraulic pressure limits within the automatic transmission oil pump
  • Protects internal transmission components from damage caused by excessive fluid pressure
  • Ensures consistent transmission fluid flow and shifting performance
  • Precision-engineered for exact fit, form, and function in applicable GM transmissions
  • Backed by General Motors quality standards and engineering

As a GM OE-validated component, part number 24225509 delivers the same reliability, durability, and service life as the original part installed at the factory. This valve is a precision internal transmission component — proper installation by a qualified transmission technician is recommended.
