Airtex 5S6706 Battery Current Sensor

The Airtex 5S6706 is a direct-fit replacement battery current sensor designed to restore proper battery management system (BMS) operation. This sensor monitors the charge and discharge current flowing through the vehicle's battery, providing real-time data to the powertrain control module (PCM) or body control module (BCM) to optimize charging voltage, manage regenerative braking energy, and protect the battery from overcharge or deep discharge conditions.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM-style replacement for a precise, plug-and-play fit
• Monitors battery current flow to support accurate state-of-charge calculations
• Enables the alternator and charging system to operate at peak efficiency
• Helps prevent fault codes and warning lights related to battery or charging system faults
• Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Built by Airtex, a trusted name in OE-quality automotive sensors and fuel system components

A failing battery current sensor can result in erratic charging behavior, reduced fuel economy, illuminated warning lights, or premature battery failure. Replacing the sensor with the Airtex 5S6706 restores proper communication between the battery and the vehicle's electronic control systems, ensuring reliable starting and charging performance.
