Product Details

The ACDelco 8646254 is a GM Original Equipment automatic transmission sun gear thrust bearing designed to restore factory performance and reliability to your vehicle's transmission system. This precision-engineered thrust bearing plays a critical role in managing axial loads within the planetary gear set, specifically supporting the sun gear assembly during transmission operation.

Key Features:

  • GM Original Equipment (OE) quality—manufactured to exact factory specifications
  • Precision-ground bearing surfaces for optimal load distribution and reduced friction
  • Heat-treated construction for durability under high-stress transmission conditions
  • Direct replacement for worn or damaged original bearings
  • Ensures proper sun gear alignment and smooth planetary gear operation

As a genuine GM OE component, this thrust bearing delivers the same performance, durability, and service life as the original part installed at the factory. Proper bearing condition is essential for transmission longevity—worn thrust bearings can lead to gear misalignment, increased wear, and eventual transmission failure.
