EBC DP31240C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Brake Pad Set

The EBC Redstuff DP31240C is a low dust ceramic brake pad set designed for fast street driving. It uses a synthetic fiber based brake compound enhanced with ceramic particles, and delivers strong braking from cold that continues to improve as the pads heat up.

Key Features:

• Low dust: The compound contains no steel fibre particles, and EBC states it reduces dust by 60-90 percent. The minimal dust that remains washes off easily with a simple sponge.
• Strong cold bite: Braking from cold is as good as original pads or better, and performance builds as the pads warm up.
• Improved compound: EBC states the ceramic-enhanced material lasts longer, brakes better and runs quieter than the earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff compound.
• Brake-In surface coating: The EBC Brake-In coating conditions the rotor surface and speeds up pad bed-in.
• Friction level: Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5.
• Fast road performance: Suited to repeated heavy braking on the street. EBC reports stopping a passenger car 13 metres shorter than OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph).
• Regulatory approval: Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulation.

Bed-in note: This is a hard wearing pad, so bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles. Be patient while the pads take up the shape of the disc (brake rotor).
