3M 00957 Hookit Gold Film Disc 255L 5" 400 Grit Abrasive Disc

The 3M Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L (PN 00957) is a premium 5-inch, 400-grit abrasive disc engineered for precision finish work in automotive body and paint applications. It is an excellent choice for primer sanding, feather edge refinement, and final surface preparation between paint stages.

Key Features:

• Abrasive Mineral: Aluminum oxide for consistent, reliable cut and finish
• Backing: Durable film backing provides a smooth, uniform sanding surface and added tear resistance compared to paper-backed discs
• Bond: Resin-over-resin bonding for enhanced heat resistance during extended use
• Attachment System: Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system allows fast, tool-free disc changes and secure hold during use
• Grit: 400 grit — ideal for fine finishing, primer sanding, and smoothing feather edges after coarser grit work
• Disc Diameter: 5 inches
• Series: 255L Gold Film

The film backing on the 255L series conforms well to contoured surfaces, reducing the risk of sand-through while delivering a uniform scratch pattern. The Hookit™ system is compatible with 3M Hookit backup pads and random orbital sanders, making it a versatile solution for body shop professionals and detailers alike. At 400 grit, these discs are well-suited for use after 320-grit steps and before applying sealers or topcoats.
