EBC DP31193C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Brake Pad Set

The EBC Redstuff DP31193C is a low dust ceramic brake pad set built for fast street driving. The compound is synthetic fiber based and enhanced with ceramic particles. It is designed to reduce brake dust while delivering strong stopping power from cold and as the pads heat up.

Key Features:

• Low dust: EBC describes Redstuff as reducing dust by 60-90 percent, and the dust that remains contains no steel fibre particles, so it washes off easily with a sponge.
• Strong cold bite: Braking is described as equal to or better than original pads from cold, and it keeps improving as the pads warm up.
• Fast road performance: Suited to repeated heavy braking. EBC reports it stopped a passenger car, sedan, sport compact or hot hatch 13 metres sooner than OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph).
• Ceramic-enhanced compound: A synthetic fiber base with ceramic particles that lasts longer, brakes better and runs quieter than the earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff compound.
• Brake-In surface coating: Conditions the rotor surface and speeds up pad bed-in.
• Nominal friction coefficient: 0.5.
• Approvals: Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation.

Bed-in note: This is a hard wearing pad, and full bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad conforms to the shape of the disc (brake rotor). Patience during this period is needed to get the best performance.
