The NGK 1470 (BR9ES) Standard spark plug is a nickel alloy, copper core spark plug (also called an ignition plug or resistor spark plug). It is an original-equipment-style replacement made for reliable ignition and steady performance. NGK Standard plugs are best suited to engines that came with nickel alloy plugs from the factory. They are not recommended for engines that use factory precious metal plugs.
