EBC DP31142C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Disc Brake Pad Set

The EBC Redstuff DP31142C is a low dust ceramic disc brake pad set (brake pads) designed for fast street use and repeated heavy braking. The compound is a synthetic fiber based material enhanced with ceramic particles. It contains no steel fibre particles, so the minimal dust it produces is easily removed with a simple sponge wash.

Key Features:

• Low dust: EBC states dust is reduced by 60-90 percent, and it emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads.
• Strong cold bite: Brakes well from cold, matching or beating original pads, and performance improves as the pads heat up.
• Improved compound: Compared with the earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff, EBC says this material lasts longer, brakes better and is quieter.
• Brake-In surface coating: Conditions the rotor surface and accelerates pad bed-in.
• Friction level: Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5.
• Stopping performance: EBC reports it has been proven to stop a passenger car, sedan, sport compact or hot hatch 13 metres quicker than OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph).
• Certification: Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation.

Bed-in note: This is a hard wearing pad, so bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad takes up the shape of the brake rotor. Patience is required during this period.
