3M 20352 Hookit Low Profile Disc Pad 5 in x 3/8 in Hook & Loop Backing Pad

The 3M Hookit Low Profile Disc Pad (20352) is a firm-density foam backing pad engineered for flat sanding applications where precise leveling and aggressive material removal are required. Measuring 5 inches in diameter and 3/8 inch thick, this disc pad mounts directly to random orbital sanders, rotary sanders, and disc sanders via its 5/16-24 external threaded shank.

Key Features:

• Low profile firm-density foam construction with a blunt 35-degree tapered edge for durability and an aggressive cut
• One-piece threaded shank design reduces vibration and improves rotational balance for a higher quality finish
• 3M Hookit hook-and-loop attachment system enables fast, tool-free disc changes and extends disc life through repeated use
• Lightweight and shock-resistant design helps reduce operator fatigue during extended use
• Compatible with any sander featuring 5/16-24 internal threads
• Maximum operating speed: 12,000 RPM
• Recommended for use with coarse-grade Hookit discs where good leveling is needed (discs sold separately)

With a 5-inch diameter and low-profile design, the 3M 20352 disc pad delivers superior leveling performance and faster removal rates compared to thicker backing pads. It is well-suited for paint preparation, primer sanding, surface leveling, and general flat sanding across automotive, marine, aerospace, metalworking, and woodworking applications. Note: This product is intended for industrial and occupational use.
