Product Details

The MAHLE 4150ML is a performance piston ring set designed for a 4.145" bore (File Fit) with a 1/16", 1/16", 3/16" ring pack configuration and low tension oil control rings. MAHLE pioneered the use of piston ring simulation and computer development tools to engineer rings that deliver free horsepower by successfully minimizing friction — a difference that is evident on the dyno and on the track.

Ring Construction:

  • Top Ring: Ductile iron, plasma moly-coated, barrel face configuration for superior combustion sealing and reduced cylinder wall friction
  • Second Ring: Cast iron, reverse twist design for effective oil control and combustion gas management
  • Oil Ring: 3-piece low tension assembly (two steel rails + expander) in a 3/16" width for controlled oil scraping and efficient drain-back
