BBK 1549 Phenolic Intake Manifold Spacer for Small Block Ford TFS Intakes

The BBK 1549 is a precision-engineered phenolic spacer designed specifically for Small Block Ford engines equipped with TFS (Trick Flow Specialties) intake manifolds. This carburetor spacer creates additional plenum volume and insulates the intake manifold from carburetor heat, helping to increase horsepower and improve throttle response.

Key Features:

• 3/8-inch (0.375") thick phenolic construction for maximum heat insulation
• CNC machined for precise fitment with TFS intake manifolds
• Reduces heat transfer from carburetor to intake manifold, keeping intake air cooler and denser
• Increases plenum volume for improved air/fuel distribution
• Includes all necessary gaskets and hardware for installation
• Direct bolt-on design for easy installation

Phenolic spacers are preferred over aluminum for heat-sensitive applications because the phenolic material acts as a thermal barrier, preventing carburetor heat from soaking into the intake manifold. This helps maintain cooler intake temperatures, which translates to better performance and reduced risk of fuel percolation.
