Product Details

The Four Seasons 83185 is a VIR (Valves-In-Receiver) desiccant bag kit designed to service and restore air conditioning receiver drier assemblies. This replacement kit provides a cost-effective solution for refreshing your existing VIR assembly without requiring complete unit replacement.

Key Features:

  • High-quality desiccant bag effectively absorbs moisture from the A/C system
  • Prevents corrosive acid formation that occurs when moisture mixes with refrigerant
  • Protects critical A/C components including the evaporator, condenser, and compressor
  • Includes necessary installation components for proper sealing
  • Manufactured in ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 certified facilities
  • Designed for VIR-equipped vehicles, commonly found in 1970s applications

The desiccant bag is a critical component that removes moisture and contaminants from your air conditioning system. Since these contaminants cannot be eliminated through flushing alone, replacing the desiccant bag is essential when servicing the A/C system. This replacement is particularly important after system repairs, as an open system can cause the desiccant to become saturated within hours, rendering it ineffective. Backed by Four Seasons' 50+ years of mobile A/C experience, this kit ensures professional-grade restoration of your vehicle's climate control system.

I ordered a set of inner tie rods for my car from Autoplicity and found their prices to be the lowest online for the brand I was looking for. Items were ship out in 2 business days from the original manufacturer. Shipping prices were kind of on the expensive end considering the package size and weight so if Autoplicity adjust their shipping prices to be more competitive, I think their service and pricing would be hard to beat!

gave me what i was looking exactly not offers like most sites.

I was very pleased with my transaction with Autoplicity. My order was shipped the next day and received the following day. The pricing was also the best I could find. I would definitely buy from them again and recommend them to others.

very prompt service, items were in stock and shipped next day, salesman was helpful and friendly. Will place in favorites and do buisness with again.

Fantastic prices, lowest on the 'net. Easy ordering, easy pay and fast fast fast shipping. You can't go wrong!

I'll start off saying that Autoplicity's prices are unbeatable...but, I placed my order on a Saturday night (which I know is the weekend)on a in stock part and it took them till the following Thursday to ship it out. I use my truck to make a living and was hoping to get it a little quicker, but now I'm down another 3-4 days till the part gets here. Also, I sent a e-mail on Tuesday evening regaurding my order and never got a response.
