Standard Motor Products ETS85 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

The Standard Motor Products ETS85 is a direct-fit OE replacement Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor, also known as an Exhaust Temperature Sensor (ETS) or High Temperature Sensor (HTS). It monitors exhaust gas temperature and sends a resistance-based signal to the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM), allowing the system to protect critical exhaust components from overheating and support proper emissions control.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit OE replacement ensures proper fit, form, and function for a trouble-free installation
• Detects exhaust temperatures within ±10°F of actual temperature for precise engine management
• Built to withstand extreme vibration and heat up to 2,300°F (1,300°C)
• OE-match connectors and high-quality terminals ensure accurate signal output
• Designed and manufactured to stringent quality standards at a certified facility
• Premium materials provide durability and extended service life in harsh exhaust environments

EGT sensors are commonly found on late-model diesel vehicles to safeguard the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and support proper DPF regeneration cycles. A failing exhaust temperature sensor may trigger a Check Engine Light and cause symptoms such as poor fuel economy, engine surging, reduced power, or the vehicle entering limp mode. The Standard Motor Products ETS85 restores proper exhaust temperature monitoring and helps keep your engine management and emissions systems operating at peak efficiency.
