Product Details

The Dorman 505-5505 Magnetic Speed Sensor is a direct replacement for worn or failed original equipment speed sensors on many vehicles. This sensor monitors transmission output shaft speed and sends critical data to the vehicle's computer system to enable proper speedometer operation, cruise control function, and transmission shift timing.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement for specific vehicle applications
  • Magnetic sensor design provides accurate speed signal detection
  • Durable construction withstands heat and vibration in transmission mounting location
  • Includes electrical connector for plug-and-play installation
  • Rigorous quality testing ensures reliable performance

This magnetic speed sensor is designed to restore proper speedometer and transmission control system operation when the original sensor fails. Common symptoms of a failing speed sensor include erratic speedometer readings, inoperative cruise control, harsh transmission shifting, or illuminated check engine light with speed sensor-related diagnostic codes.

I've been through several websites looking for this tire. I was hoping to buy two but glad to see that there's at least one in stock and confirmed. So far everything is good.

Great price for the product, fast shipping and the people there are very helpful.
