Standard Motor Products SLS399 Stoplight Switch Brake Light Switch

The Standard Motor Products SLS399 is a direct-fit replacement stoplight switch (also known as a brake light switch) engineered to restore proper brake light and vehicle safety system operation. When the brake pedal is depressed, this switch signals the brake lights to illuminate — a critical function for road safety and, on many modern vehicles, a requirement for engine start.

Built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, the SLS399 is part of Standard Motor Products' comprehensive stoplight switch lineup, backed by their reputation as a leading independent automotive aftermarket supplier.

Key Features:

• Brass or high-impact composite housing — engineered for maximum performance and long-term durability
• Special-design spring and contact arrangement — minimizes electrical arcing for extended service life
• Copper alloy conductors — deliver superior electrical conductivity with low resistive losses
• 100% tested — every unit verified for both mechanical and electrical switching performance before leaving the factory
• OE-quality fit — designed and manufactured to equal or exceed original equipment specifications

A faulty stoplight switch can cause brake lights to fail to illuminate, trigger ABS or traction control warning lights, or prevent engine start on vehicles with keyless push-button ignition systems that require brake pedal input. The SLS399 is a straightforward replacement that restores full brake light switch functionality.
