Product Details

The Standard Motor Products NS329 is a direct-fit OE replacement neutral safety switch — also known as a neutral/backup switch or inhibitor switch — engineered to restore proper starting and backup light function to automatic transmission-equipped vehicles. This surface-mount, 2-position push button switch features ON-OFF operation and is built to exceed original equipment specifications for dependable, maintenance-free performance.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit OE replacement — ensures proper fit, form, and function for a trouble-free installation
  • Copper alloy conductors — deliver superior electrical conductivity with low resistive losses
  • 2-position push button design with ON-OFF operation and surface mount configuration
  • 100% tested — every unit undergoes mechanical and electrical switching performance verification before leaving the factory
  • Exceeds OEM specifications — designed and manufactured to stringent quality standards at a certified facility
  • Sold as a single switch; quantity of 1 per package

The neutral safety switch prevents the engine from starting in any gear other than Park or Neutral, protecting against accidental vehicle movement. It also controls the backup lights, signaling when the transmission is in Reverse. Replacing a faulty neutral safety switch can resolve no-start conditions, intermittent starting issues, or backup lights that fail to illuminate. The Standard Motor Products NS329 is a reliable, professional-grade solution backed by decades of automotive aftermarket experience.

Good service! Really helpful.

My second time ordering from Autoplicity. I price shop online and Autoplicity had the lowest price both times. Fast ship with email notifications. Autoplicity will now be my "First" site I go to for my auto accessories. Great job Autoplicity.

Ordered Lucas gear oil and have to say the service is great and delivery was very quick. I will recommend Autoplicity for quality yet affordable prices. will do business with again!

They had the best price I could find, anywhere, for Royal Purple HPS oil (and I spent hours searching). I ordered a case on Sunday night and it arrived on Wednesday (standard shipping) from half-way across the country. For standard shipping, that's pretty fast. They must have send it out early Monday morning, at the latest.<br><br>I'm very satisfied with my experience, and I'll definitely be ordering from them again, when I need another case of oil.

I was skeptical at first but checked it all out and it looked ligit, placed my order and wow low prices, first rate shipping and top quailty product. I am sold! will look to Autoplicity for future purchases, already told many of my friends about the fantatic deals at Autoplicity.
