Product Details

The Standard Motor Products DU423 is a replacement distributor cap designed to exceed OEM specifications for dependable, maintenance-free operation in your vehicle's ignition system. This critical ignition component protects the distributor's internal parts while routing high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the spark plugs via the distributor rotor.

Key Features:

  • Constructed from high dielectric strength, glass/mineral reinforced polyester resin for superior electrical insulation
  • Engineered to resist carbon tracking and electrical breakdown under high-voltage conditions
  • Metal contact terminals provide reliable voltage transfer to spark plug wires
  • Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
  • Direct replacement for proper fitment and reliable ignition performance

Standard Motor Products has been manufacturing quality automotive replacement parts since 1919, providing trusted ignition components for the aftermarket. Replace your worn distributor cap at regular maintenance intervals to prevent misfires, rough running, and starting issues caused by worn contacts or moisture intrusion.
