Standard Motor Products AX24 Air Charge Temperature Sensor

The Standard Motor Products AX24 Air Charge Temperature Sensor is a direct-replacement engine management sensor designed to monitor the temperature of air entering your vehicle's engine. Also known as an Intake Air Temperature (IAT) or Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) sensor, this critical component sends temperature data to the engine control unit (ECU) to optimize fuel delivery, ignition timing, and overall engine performance.

Key Features:

• Measures incoming air temperature and converts it to an electrical signal for the ECU
• Enables proper air-fuel mixture calculations based on air density
• Helps optimize fuel efficiency and emissions control
• Direct OE replacement design for easy installation
• Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Thermistor-based design with temperature-dependent resistance for accurate readings

The air charge temperature sensor plays a vital role in engine management by helping the computer adjust fuel injection for optimal performance in all weather conditions. Colder air is denser and requires more fuel, while warmer air needs less. By providing accurate temperature readings, this sensor ensures your engine receives the correct air-fuel ratio for maximum efficiency, smooth idle quality, and proper cold-start performance. Standard Motor Products is a trusted name in automotive aftermarket sensors, backed by decades of engineering expertise.
