Product Details

The Airtex 5H1017 is a replacement ignition condenser designed to restore reliable ignition system performance in compatible vehicles equipped with conventional point-type distributor ignition systems. The condenser works in conjunction with the ignition points to suppress voltage spikes across the contact points, preventing premature point wear and ensuring a clean, consistent spark for proper engine operation.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement for OEM ignition condensers
  • Designed for use with conventional breaker-point distributor ignition systems
  • Helps suppress electrical arcing across ignition points to extend point life
  • Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
  • Cross-references to JC37 and other equivalent condenser part numbers

Airtex Automotive Division has been a trusted supplier of fuel system and ignition components for decades. The 5H1017 condenser is an ideal service replacement for aging or failed original condensers, helping maintain proper dwell angle, timing stability, and overall ignition reliability.
