The Airtex 2N1035 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid (also called a canister purge valve, EVAP purge valve or purge valve solenoid) is an electrically controlled valve in the evaporative emission control system. The engine computer switches it on and off to meter how much stored fuel vapor from the charcoal canister is drawn into the intake and burned. This keeps fuel vapors from venting to the atmosphere.
