Product Details

The Gates 23499 Premium Molded Coolant Hose is a precision-engineered replacement radiator hose designed to deliver OEM-quality fit and long-lasting performance. Pre-shaped to match original equipment geometry, this hose installs quickly and seals reliably — eliminating the need for a trip to the OE dealership.

Key Features:

  • EPDM construction — EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and heat- and ozone-resistant EPDM cover for extended service life
  • Electrochemical degradation (ECD) resistance — engineered to combat the leading cause of coolant hose failure, preventing micro-crack formation and premature breakdown
  • Vacuum collapse resistance — specially engineered materials reduce the need for internal support springs in most applications
  • Wide temperature range — rated from -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C) for reliable performance in extreme conditions
  • SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 compliant — meets industry standards for coolant hose performance
  • Resistant to heat, ozone, and chemical coolants — including modern extended-life coolant formulas
  • Pre-shaped for a perfect fit — factory molded to ensure sealed, leak-free connections
  • Approved for marine applications

Gates molded coolant hoses are suitable for upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant circuit applications. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for best results.
