Product Details

The Gates 23311 is a premium molded coolant hose engineered to provide OEM-quality replacement for lower radiator applications. This factory-molded hose is pre-shaped for a precise fit, ensuring proper coolant flow and eliminating installation difficulties associated with universal hoses.

Key Features:

  • EPDM rubber construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for superior durability
  • Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
  • Heat and ozone-resistant EPDM cover withstands harsh engine compartment conditions
  • Pre-molded shape ensures perfectly sealed connections and proper routing
  • Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
  • Resists vacuum collapse without requiring internal springs
  • Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 specifications

Gates molded coolant hoses are manufactured to exact OEM specifications, providing reliable performance and long service life. The advanced EPDM compound resists the formation of micro-cracks that occur when coolant, hose material, and metal fittings create electrochemical reactions. This hose is approved for automotive and marine cooling system applications.

Note: Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal sealing performance.
