Product Details

The Cometic C5804-060 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM's first and second generation Ecotec engines, including the L42 and L61 models. This premium gasket features a compressed thickness of .060 inches and an 89mm bore diameter, providing reliable sealing for both stock and modified applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • .060" compressed gasket thickness for precise compression control
  • 89mm bore diameter designed for GM Ecotec L42 and L61 engines
  • Compatible with Gen-1 and Gen-2 Ecotec platform engines
  • Embossed stainless steel layers with viton rubber coating resist high temperatures and combustion pressure
  • Ideal for stock rebuilds, performance applications, and forced induction builds

Cometic MLS gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel with specialized coatings that maintain torque retention and provide exceptional blowout resistance. The unique design allows the gasket to recover and seal surface imperfections while withstanding extreme cylinder pressures, making it the preferred choice for performance enthusiasts and professional engine builders.
