Application Guidelines:

P-Series rod bearings are specifically designed for high-performance and racing engines where extremely high RPMs cause significant bearing stress. The high eccentricity design narrows bearing contact patterns to prevent full parting line to parting line shaft contact. These bearings work best in conjunction with full-grooved P-Series main bearings to maximize oil flow to the connecting rods and prevent oil starvation.

Technical Construction:

Each bearing features Clevite's proven TriMetal construction with a hardened steel back, copper-lead intermediate layer, and a precisely controlled lead-tin-copper overlay. The hardened steel backing provides exceptional strength under high loads, while the overlay material offers excellent conformability and embedability for foreign particles. Important Ordering Information:

Clevite rod bearings are sold as paired sets containing two bearing shells for one connecting rod. For a complete engine rebuild, order one set per cylinder (example: quantity of 6 for a 6-cylinder engine, quantity of 8 for an 8-cylinder engine).
