Clevite CB-1814P(8) High Performance P-Series Connecting Rod Bearings - 8

The Clevite CB-1814P(8) is a set of high-performance P-Series connecting rod bearings engineered for demanding racing and performance applications. These premium bearings feature hardened steel backs for superior strength and resistance to fretting, combined with reduced overlay thickness to prevent overlay fatigue. P-Series bearings are designed with maximum eccentricity to handle extreme RPM conditions where severe rod bore close-in occurs.

Key Features:

• High crush design for maximum bearing retention in performance applications
• Hardened steel back construction provides exceptional strength and fretting resistance
• Reduced overlay thickness prevents hen tracking and overlay fatigue
• Maximum eccentricity for extreme high-RPM applications
• TriMetal construction meets or exceeds OEM standards for durability
• Engineered to protect against friction-related damage in high-stress conditions

Application Notes:

P-Series bearings are ideal for engines experiencing severe rod bore close-in at extremely high RPMs, typically indicated by nearly full parting line to parting line shaft contact. These bearings work best when paired with P-Series main bearings, which feature full grooving to maximize oil flow to the connecting rods. The high eccentricity design helps narrow bearing contact patterns and provides increased lubrication to prevent oil starvation.

Important: Clevite bearings are sold as paired sets (two bearing halves for one connecting rod). For a complete 6-cylinder engine, order quantity of 6 sets. For an 8-cylinder engine as indicated by the (8) in the part number, order quantity of 8 sets.
