Standard Motor Products SLS257 Stoplight Switch Brake Light Switch

The Standard Motor Products SLS257 is a direct-fit replacement stoplight switch, also commonly referred to as a brake light switch. This switch signals the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, and on vehicles equipped with push-button keyless ignition, it also enables the engine start function when the pedal is pressed.

Key Features:

• Brass or high-impact composite housing — engineered to specification for maximum durability and performance
• Copper alloy conductors — ensure superior electrical conductivity with minimal resistive losses
• Special-design spring and contact arrangement — reduces arcing at the contact points for extended service life
• 100% tested — every unit is verified for both mechanical and electrical switching performance before leaving the factory
• OEM-quality construction — robust design and high-grade materials meet the demands of professional technicians and DIY installers alike

Standard Motor Products maintains complete quality control throughout the manufacturing process, from raw componentry to finished product. The SLS257 is part of Standard's lineup of more than 300 stoplight switch SKUs, providing broad coverage across import and domestic applications. It is a reliable, maintenance-free replacement that restores proper brake light and safety system operation.
