Product Details

The Borla 12649 Cat-Back Exhaust System is a straight pipe design engineered for 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 and C5 Z06 models equipped with the 5.7L V8 engine. This aggressive system eliminates the mufflers and features 4" polished T-304 stainless steel tips, delivering an extremely loud, race-inspired exhaust note that's not for the faint of heart.

Key Features:

  • Premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel construction (superior to 409 or aluminized steel)
  • 2.5" pipe diameter with single split rear exit configuration
  • Straight-through design with no mufflers for maximum flow and aggressive sound
  • 4" x 8" single round rolled angle-cut lined tips
  • Mandrel-bent tubing for optimized exhaust flow
  • Bolt-on installation with factory mounting points
  • Backed by Borla's unsurpassed million-mile warranty

This system delivers a very aggressive exhaust note with improved performance characteristics. Constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with smooth mandrel bends, it's designed to withstand high temperatures, vibration, and harsh driving conditions. The straight pipe design provides maximum exhaust flow for enhanced throttle response and the unmistakable Borla "Sound of Power."

Installation: This product is difficult to install and should take about 1 hour. Fits 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 (both coupe and convertible) and C5 Z06 with 5.7L V8 engine, automatic or manual transmission.
