The COMP Cams CL11-408-8 Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller camshaft and lifter kit is engineered specifically for Chevrolet Big Block 396-454 cubic inch engines. This complete kit delivers improved throttle response and a lopey idle tone with strong mid-range power, making it an excellent choice for street performance applications and mild street/strip builds.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 270°/276° (intake/exhaust)
  • Duration at .050": 206°/212°
  • Valve Lift: .447"/.454" with 1.7:1 rocker ratio
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 112°
  • Hydraulic roller design for reduced friction and increased durability
  • Recommended RPM range: 1,200-5,200

This camshaft works well with stock or aftermarket cylinder heads and requires compatible hydraulic roller lifters and valve springs (springs not included). The Xtreme Energy grind provides excellent street manners while delivering noticeable performance gains over stock. Ideal for vehicles with automatic or manual transmissions, this cam is designed for engines with stock to mildly modified compression ratios and standard exhaust systems.

This is a great e-retailer. Best price and fast shipping. I ordered a bike rack. Their price was the lowest I could find, and it was drop shipped from the manufacturer the following day, and arrived in time for me to use it on the weekend. The one criticism I would have is the item description could have been better. From my web research, I knew the model I wanted, but if I was just browsing bike racks on their website, I would have needed more information.
