Product Details

The COMP Cams CL11-422-8 XE series camshaft and lifter kit delivers enhanced performance for Chevrolet big block 396-454 cubic inch engines. This complete hydraulic roller cam kit is designed to provide improved throttle response, increased mid-range torque, and better overall power delivery compared to stock camshafts.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Intake Duration: 218 degrees at 0.050" lift
  • Exhaust Duration: 224 degrees at 0.050" lift
  • Hydraulic roller design for reduced friction and improved durability
  • XE profile engineered for street/strip performance applications
  • Optimized for engines with aftermarket cylinder heads and intake manifolds

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Camshaft with XE performance grind
  • Hydraulic roller lifters (16 pieces)
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in
  • Installation instructions
  • COMP Cams decals

This kit is ideal for street performance builds seeking improved power without sacrificing driveability. The hydraulic roller design eliminates the need for break-in procedures required by flat tappet cams while providing superior valve control and longevity. Best suited for engines with 9.0:1 to 10.5:1 compression ratio and operating range of 1,500-6,000 RPM.
