The COMP Cams Magnum CL31-432-8 is a complete retro-fit hydraulic roller camshaft and lifter kit designed for Ford small block 221, 260, 289, and 302 cubic inch engines (1963-1995). This aggressive cam is specifically designed for street enthusiasts looking for more power with that Pro Street sound, delivering best power increase above 3500 RPM, good torque, and a mild idle.

Key Specifications:

  • Grind Number: 281HR with 220/220 duration at .050 inch lift
  • Advertised duration: 281 degrees intake/exhaust
  • Valve lift: 0.512 inch intake and exhaust with factory rocker ratio
  • Lobe separation: 110 degrees
  • Operating RPM range: 2,000-5,500
  • Camshaft material: Austempered ductile iron

The hydraulic roller design dramatically decreases friction and lifter wear while allowing for more lift and greater area under the curve, giving much better top end power without sacrificing bottom end. COMP Cams Magnum cams have great high rpm power, are easy on valve train parts, and can be used with mild ratio rocker arms and traditional performance valve springs.

Important Notes: For engines that DID NOT come from the factory with hydraulic roller cams, NOT FOR E.F.I. Will not fit HO models due to base circle size. Valve springs are required but not included. Intended for street/strip and performance-oriented applications.

I paid for 2nd day shipping and 5 days later they were shipped out. So, I should receive my rotors in a full week from when I paid for 2 day shipping. I called customer service and they discounted the shipping rate to ground service. At least they were polite and helpful in the phone.

Good prices and easy ordering process (order #18003). The only issue that I had was after placing the order, completing the entire process, I received three emails stating that "We noticed that you started checking out on our site, but didn't quite finish the process". After calling customer service, they ensured me that the order was complete. Since then, I receive the same email(3 emails at a time) on a daily basis. Just a little annoying, but easy enough to delete.
