The COMP Cams SK51-233-4 Magnum camshaft SK-Kit delivers enhanced performance for Pontiac 265-455 cubic inch V8 engines. This hydraulic flat tappet camshaft features a 224/224 duration profile that provides a noticeable increase in mid-range torque and horsepower while maintaining excellent street manners and idle quality.

Complete Installation Kit Includes:

  • Magnum 224/224 hydraulic flat tappet camshaft
  • Hydraulic lifter set (16 lifters)
  • Timing chain set with gears
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in
  • Installation instructions and decals

Performance Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 268°/268° intake/exhaust
  • Duration @ .050": 224°/224° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .447"/.447" (with 1.5:1 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 110°

This SK-Kit is designed for street performance applications and provides everything needed for a professional camshaft installation except valve springs and pushrods. The 224/224 duration profile offers an excellent balance between performance gains and driveability, making it ideal for street/strip applications, muscle car restorations, and weekend cruisers. Compatible with stock torque converters and rear axle ratios, this cam delivers a mild performance sound with strong acceleration from off-idle through the mid-range.

Recommended for engines with compression ratios between 9.0:1 and 10.5:1. Ideal power range: 1,500-5,500 RPM.
