Product Details

The Goetze 038198151 is a high-quality OEM piston ring set designed for Volkswagen TDI diesel engines. This precision-engineered set services one piston and is manufactured to original equipment specifications by Goetze, a Federal-Mogul brand renowned for German engineering excellence since 1887.

Key Features:

 • OEM-quality piston ring set for one cylinder (4 sets required per complete engine)
 • Standard bore size compatible with VW 1.9L TDI engines
 • Fits engine codes: 1Z, AAZ, AHU, ALH, and BEW
 • Restores lost compression and engine performance
 • Manufactured with advanced materials and coatings proven in original equipment applications
 • Interchanges with VW part numbers 038 198 151 and Goetze 08-990100-00

Piston rings are critical engine components that maintain proper compression by sealing the gap between pistons and cylinder walls. Over time, these rings wear from constant movement within the cylinder bore, leading to decreased power, increased oil consumption, and excessive exhaust smoke. Replacing worn piston rings with genuine Goetze components ensures your engine regains its original performance and efficiency. Goetze's decades of experience as an OE supplier to European manufacturers guarantees precision fit and long-lasting durability.

thank you, quick easy. Great prices!

Fast shipping, product was excellent .

Very friendly customer service! They also shipped my radiator out very quickly. I will definetly be ordering from autoplicity again!

I needed a few small XRP fittings for our NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster, I had called XRP and even a "pro racer discount" the price was ridiculous; couple this with their ridiculous shipping/handling charge I had to go elsewhere. I typed in the XRP part number into Google and found Autoplicity, twice as many pcs. as I was planning on ordering and with shipping it was cheaper than one fitting from XRP direct. I will be checking Autoplicity anytime I'm ordering something from this day on, everything about the transaction was smooth and simple. I just got my tracking number today and the stuff is on its' way. Thanks for making this transaction so easy and not robbing your customers on something as frivolous as "handling".

Respectfully,
Brandon Booher
NHRA TAD #34

Ordered Thursday, shipped Monday... guess all in all we can't be disappointed. At least they had them in stock.
