Genuine BMW 11721438813 Secondary Air Injection Pump Filter

The Genuine BMW Secondary Air Injection Pump Filter (part number 11721438813) is a critical emissions control component designed to protect the secondary air injection pump from dirt, debris, and contaminants. This factory OEM filter ensures clean air delivery to your vehicle's emissions system during cold start operation.

Key Features:

• Genuine BMW OEM part ensures perfect fit and quality
• Protects secondary air injection pump from damaging particles
• Essential for proper emissions system operation during cold starts
• Direct replacement for part numbers 11 72 1 438 813 and 09506001001
• Required for passing emissions testing and maintaining compliance

Function:

The secondary air injection system introduces fresh, filtered air into the exhaust manifold during cold engine starts to reduce harmful emissions. This filter element sits at the air intake of the secondary air pump, preventing dirt particles from damaging the pump's internal components while allowing the system to deliver oxygen-rich air that helps catalytic converters reach operating temperature faster and reduces hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions during the critical warm-up phase.

Regular replacement of this filter is essential for maintaining proper secondary air injection system function and avoiding check engine lights or emissions test failures.
