Product Details

The Canton Racing Products 85-000 is a phenolic fuel pump insulator designed specifically for Small Block Chevy engines. This heat barrier replaces the standard steel mounting plate that sits between the mechanical fuel pump and the engine block.

Key Features:

  • Phenolic construction provides superior thermal insulation compared to steel
  • Reduces heat transfer from the engine block to the fuel pump
  • Helps prevent fuel percolation and vapor lock by keeping fuel cooler
  • Direct replacement for factory steel fuel pump mounting plate
  • Designed for Small Block Chevy V8 applications

By limiting heat soak into the fuel pump, this insulator helps maintain consistent fuel delivery and prevents hot-start issues common with mechanical fuel pumps. The phenolic material offers excellent heat resistance while maintaining proper structural support for the fuel pump assembly.
