The COMP Cams CL11-423-8 XE Series hydraulic roller camshaft and lifter kit is engineered for Chevrolet big block 396-454 cubic inch engines seeking improved mid-range to upper RPM performance. This complete kit provides the perfect combination of increased throttle response and power gains throughout the RPM range, making it ideal for street/strip applications and performance street builds.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 276°/282° intake/exhaust
  • Duration at .050": 224°/230° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .480"/.480" intake/exhaust (with 1.5:1 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 110°
  • RPM Range: 1,500-5,500 RPM
  • Hydraulic roller design for reduced friction and increased durability

Complete Kit Includes:

  • XE Series hydraulic roller camshaft

The XE Series camshafts feature COMP Cams' proven lobe profiles that deliver excellent vacuum characteristics for power brakes while maintaining strong performance. The hydraulic roller design eliminates the need for break-in procedures required by flat tappet cams and provides superior durability. This camshaft works well with stock or aftermarket cylinder heads and requires compatible hydraulic roller lifters and compatible valvetrain components.

Recommended for engines with aftermarket intake manifolds, headers, and higher compression ratios. May require upgrading valve springs depending on existing valvetrain components. Professional installation recommended.
