The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy CL21-222-4 is a complete hydraulic flat tappet camshaft and lifter kit designed specifically for Chrysler big-block 383-440 cubic inch V8 engines. This performance camshaft delivers excellent mid-range power and throttle response, making it ideal for street performance applications and mild street/strip builds.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 268°/274° (Intake/Exhaust)
  • Duration at .050": 218°/224° (Intake/Exhaust)
  • Valve Lift: .462"/.470" (Intake/Exhaust) with 1.5:1 rocker ratio
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 110°
  • Recommended RPM Range: 1,500-5,500
  • Hydraulic flat tappet design for reliable street performance

This cam profile provides a noticeable performance increase over stock with a mild lope at idle. It works well with stock or aftermarket cylinder heads, stock converter and rear gears, and delivers strong vacuum for power brakes. The Xtreme Energy lobe design provides excellent durability and maintains hydraulic valvetrain simplicity for dependable street use.
