The COMP Cams Mutha' Thumpr CL35-601-8 is a complete hydraulic roller camshaft and lifter kit engineered specifically for Ford 351W small block engines. This performance cam delivers an aggressive, loping idle and strong mid-range power characteristics that enthusiasts crave, making it an excellent choice for street/strip applications and muscle car builds.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 235° intake / 249° exhaust
  • Duration at .050": 212° intake / 220° exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .525" intake / .540" exhaust (with 1.6:1 rocker arms)
  • LSA (Lobe Separation Angle): 112°
  • Hydraulic roller design for reduced friction and increased durability
  • Produces distinctive "Thumpr" exhaust note

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Hydraulic roller camshaft
  • Hydraulic roller lifters (16)
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in
  • Installation instructions

This cam is designed to work with stock or aftermarket fuel injection systems and provides excellent throttle response with a power band optimized for street performance. The hydraulic roller design eliminates the need for a break-in procedure required with flat tappet cams, and the roller lifters reduce valvetrain friction for improved efficiency and longevity. Recommended for engines with at least 9.0:1 compression ratio, headers, and a performance intake manifold to maximize results.

Note: Requires compatible hydraulic roller camshaft compatible valve springs, pushrods, and timing set (sold separately). Professional installation recommended.
