The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy CL20-229-4 camshaft and lifter kit delivers increased performance for Chrysler small block V8 engines (273-360 cubic inch). This hydraulic flat tappet cam features aggressive lift and duration specifications designed to boost mid-range to top-end power while maintaining street drivability.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 273°/279° intake/exhaust
  • Duration at .050": 229°/235° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .477"/.480" intake/exhaust (with 1.5:1 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 110°
  • Hydraulic flat tappet design for quiet operation
  • Recommended RPM Range: 1,600-5,800 RPM

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Xtreme Energy camshaft with advanced lobe profiles
  • 16 hydraulic flat tappet lifters

This cam profile is ideal for street/strip applications with stock or aftermarket cylinder heads, headers, and intake manifolds. Requires aftermarket torque converter (2,200-2,600 stall) and 3.23:1 or higher rear gear ratio for optimal performance. May produce noticeable idle characteristics and requires proper valve spring upgrades.
