Product Details

The COMP Cams SK11-456-8 Xtreme Marine hydraulic roller camshaft kit is specifically engineered for Chevrolet Big Block engines (396-454 cubic inches) operating in marine applications. This complete SK-Kit provides everything needed for a professional camshaft upgrade, delivering improved performance and reliability in harsh marine environments.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised duration: 242°/248° intake/exhaust
  • Hydraulic roller design for reduced friction and improved durability
  • Xtreme Marine profile optimized for torque and mid-range power delivery
  • Designed specifically for marine engine operating conditions and duty cycles

Complete SK-Kit Includes:

  • Hydraulic roller camshaft
  • Hydraulic roller lifters (complete set)
  • Timing chain set with gears
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in
  • Installation instructions
  • COMP Cams decals

This small kit configuration provides all the essential components for a camshaft installation, offering excellent value while ensuring compatibility between all included parts. The hydraulic roller design eliminates the need for break-in procedures required by flat tappet cams, making it ideal for marine applications where proper break-in can be challenging. The Xtreme Marine grind profile is specifically tailored to deliver strong low-end and mid-range torque characteristics that marine engines demand.
