The COMP Cams CL12-364-4 Xtreme Energy hydraulic flat tappet camshaft and lifter kit is engineered for small block Chevrolet engines seeking improved performance across the RPM range. This kit features a 208/217 degree duration camshaft profile that delivers excellent mid-range torque and strong top-end horsepower, making it ideal for street performance applications and mild street/strip builds.

Key Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 268/280 degrees
  • Duration at .050": 208/217 degrees
  • Valve Lift: .447"/.460" (with 1.5 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 110 degrees
  • Recommended RPM Range: 1,500-5,500 RPM
  • Recommended Valve Springs: COMP Cams #981-16 or equivalent

This camshaft profile provides a smooth idle with a mild lope and requires no modifications to stock valve train components. It's compatible with stock torque converters (2,000+ stall recommended for automatics) and stock rear gears, though 3.23:1 or higher gears are recommended for optimal performance. The Xtreme Energy profile is designed to work with stock or mildly modified cylinder heads and exhaust systems.

Application Note: Designed for small block Chevrolet V8 engines (262-400 cubic inches). Proper break-in procedure must be followed to ensure lifter and camshaft longevity.
