The COMP Cams CL31-336-4 Magnum 306S is a high-performance mechanical flat tappet camshaft and lifter kit designed for serious performance enthusiasts building large cubic inch Ford small block engines (221, 260, 289, 302 c.i.). This aggressive cam is engineered for Pro-Street applications and race-oriented vehicles that will see limited street use, delivering tremendous high-RPM power with a radical, rumbly idle that announces your performance intentions.

  • Upgraded valve springs required (not included)
  • Not compatible with computer-controlled fuel injection systems
  • Will significantly affect power accessories due to increased overlap

Important Notes:

This camshaft produces a rough, radical idle characteristic due to its increased duration and overlap. The 306S grind does not have advance built in and requires degree wheel installation. Stock engine components (converter, gears, springs) are not compatible with this camshaft. This cam is intended for dedicated performance vehicles and race applications—not recommended for daily driver street cars or vehicles with extensive power accessory requirements.
