The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy CL34-234-4 hydraulic flat tappet camshaft and lifter kit is engineered specifically for Ford 429 and 460 cubic inch big block engines. This performance cam kit delivers excellent throttle response and strong mid-range power, making it ideal for street performance applications and trucks that see occasional towing duty.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 268°/274° intake/exhaust
  • Duration @ .050": 212°/218° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .462"/.470" intake/exhaust (with 1.73:1 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 112°
  • Hydraulic flat tappet design for reliable street use

This camshaft produces a noticeable performance idle and delivers power from 1,500 to 5,500 RPM. The Xtreme Energy lobe profiles provide more area under the lift curve for improved performance without sacrificing durability. Recommended operating range works well with stock or mildly modified engines, stock torque converters (2,000-2,400 stall recommended for automatics), and 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio.
