Product Details

The COMP Cams CL11-772-8 XE series cam and lifter kit delivers aggressive performance for Chevrolet big block 396-454 engines. This complete solid roller setup features a 248°/254° advertised duration camshaft designed to maximize mid-range to high-RPM power while maintaining strong vacuum characteristics for street/strip applications.

Key Features:

  • XE series solid roller camshaft with 248°/254° advertised duration
  • Engineered specifically for Chevrolet big block 396-454 cubic inch engines
  • Includes matched solid roller lifters for precise valve train control
  • Complete kit with assembly lube, installation instructions, and COMP Cams decals
  • Aggressive lobe profiles for improved throttle response and horsepower gains
  • Suitable for street/strip applications with upgraded valve train components

This kit provides everything needed for a professional camshaft installation except pushrods, springs, and retainers. The solid roller design reduces friction and valve train weight while allowing higher lift and more aggressive lobe profiles compared to hydraulic camshafts. Best suited for performance builds with aftermarket cylinder heads, headers, and higher compression ratios.
